I am a 62 year old woman who is an avid golfer. For 20 years, due to scoliosis and degenerative discs, I have had severe back pain that was managed mostly by medications and epidurals. In the summer of 2011 I had spinal fusion (L3-L5), with a local doctor in Florida, which wasn’t successful.
After much research I found Dr. Antonacci and his wonderful staff (Dr. Cuddihy and Joel). He was very willing to spend time answering any and all questions. He gave me the courage to do surgery again. He and his team corrected my previous fiasco with a new fusion (L3-S1) in the summer of 2013.
I am 7 months out and pain free, something I never thought imaginable. Dr. Antonacci is not only a gifted surgeon, he is my HERO. Being able to once again enjoy sports, exercise and daily activity without meds has given me a new lease on life.
