I had suffered from reoccurring stenosis for over thirty-five years until I found you. As I got older the stresses of daily life, work and activities I enjoy started to diminish. I was in a constant state of concern for my physical health and my ability to function at work and at home. At 59, I didn’t want to create a physical burden to my family because of my health.
I had previous conversations and evaluations from many fine orthopedic and neurological surgeons. I never had the confidence to go forward with any type of surgery based on those discussions. So, I endured the discomfort for many years.
I have tried all the “typical” remedies for my condition ranging from chiropractic to herbal supplements with minimal positive results. All this came to a head when I was in my kitchen in August of 2009 and I experienced a sharp shooting pain in my back while picking up a pill from the floor. Your explanation of the minimally invasive surgical technique you use to eliminate the reoccurring stenosis help to make my decision to go-ahead with the surgery. You answered my questions and concerns completely and honestly and explained the risks with the type of surgery to be done. I never had any doubts that my surgery would be a complete success.
My life as a Physical Education Teacher and Coach has been renewed thanks to your exceptional skills as a surgeon. From the time I came out of recovery, I have not experienced any stenosis in my legs. My mobility and flexibility are as good as I had years before and most of all I have the confidence to participate in any activity I choose to do.
I can cycle, play golf, strength train, do various types of cardio training and this past winter I shoveled quite a bit of snow with no ill effects!
